We offer daily transport and connections to the Jet Boats going to the
Bridge to Nowhere.

We leave 7.00am in the morning from your accommodation, we will deliver the mail on the way and stop for morning tea before we connect with the Jet Boat Company at 10.00am.

As soon as everyone arrived and is booked in, the Jet Boat operator will explain the safety rules and you will be leaving for a great adventure to the Bridge to Nowhere.

Remember to bring lunch and a drink, hats, sunscreen and your cameras.

We will wait for you at the depot and leave from Pipiriki at about 3pm back to Whanganui arriving at you accommodation roundabout 4.30pm or stay the night either at Pipiriki or Jerusalem and be collected the next day.

Join Whanganui River local’s on theMail Run and Jetboat while enjoying the scenic river surrounds, historical sites, including Jerusalem Convent and Kawana Flour Mill, stopping formorning tea prepared by our local hosts, learning stories of Mother Aubert, James K Baxter and local Maori People.

Then board the Jet boat with Whanganui Scenic Experience for the 26Km downstream immersing yourself with the beauty and serenity of the lower reaches while enduring the Spiritual being of The Whanganui River.

Following the Whanganui River as it flows towards the sea. this peaceful road blends sublime scenery with a series of delightful heritage sites – both Maori and European.

Starting at Pipiriki – a gateway to the Whanganui National Park – this long but leisurely ride undulates through small settlements perched high above the mighty river.

A beautiful marae, notable church and convent, charming old flour mill, and other special sights tell their stories.

Mail Run

Experience our unique Mail Run on the beautiful Whanganui River Road.

Rich in history and culture, you will learn about the local Iwi (tribe) Te Awa Tupua – their River of Sacred Power and why the River was vitally important for transport, food and spitritual wellbeing for local Maori.

Hear stories of the early settlers and the paddle steamers that plied the river, deep into the interior of the Whanganui.

We will stop along the way for morning tea while visiting places of interest.

$75 including morning tea.

Approximately 6 hours.


Trampers Transport is available to and from all tracks in the area including:

Matemateaonga Track
We will transport you to the beginning of the track, behind Stratford. At 42 km long, the track is usually walked in 3-4 days. The end of the track ends at the boat landing by the Whanganui River from where you will get a Jet Boat trip back to Pipiriki.

There is also the opportunity to visit the Bridge to Nowhere just ask about it when you book the Jet Boat. When your walk is finished we can pick you up in Pipiriki about 10am and bring you back to your preferred place in Whanganui.

The Atene Skyline Track and Viewpoint Walk
The Skyline Track takes 6-8 hours and the Viewpoint Walk 2 hours taking you into the Whanganui National Park and gives great views of the original bed of the Whanganui River. We can pick you up at your accommodation drop you off at the Track and return you back to you accommodation after completing the Track.

Ski fields Mt Ruapehu
In Winter Time to early Spring we recommend a skiing trip up to Mount Ruapehu with amazing views at the Turoa Ski fields. We offer transport to there and back to Wanganui.

Our services are 7 days a week (for some activities a minimum of 3 people are required).
